Does the Revlite work on all colours?

Yes, but some colours are easier than others and a few colours are particularly stubborn such as green, yellow and aqua. However, since the launch of the RevLite all colours can be treated much more easily – giving you the chance of complete removal rather than a ghostly imprint.

How long does the treatment take?

On average each session will take between 15-60 minutes but it will depend upon the size of your tattoo and perhaps a little bit of consideration to your skin type.  Your laser technician will be able to give you an idea of how much time each session will take and how many you will need to complete the treatment.

Is laser tattoo removal safe?

Yes it is perfectly safe.  The RevLite uses the most advanced Q-Switched technology which has an intelligent, accurate target to break down only the inked skin.

What happens after treatment? Are there any side effects?

The area will turn to a much paler shade or even white.  Cold compresses are advised to reduce any burning or swelling.  With each treatment you will see the area fade that bit further as the pigment continues to break down.  Scabbing is normal which may last for about two weeks but remember your skin is going through a re-healing process so it is acting naturally. It is rare for adverse side effects to occur but allergic reactions can happen.

What is the aftercare?

With laser treatment there is need to care for your skin.  Although the laser system is non-surgical there are a number of things you will be advised to do to avoid complications and to get the best out of your treatment.  Your clinician will have a customised care plan for you, but for now here are some things to consider:

• Avoid restrictive clothing around the area
• Do not use perfume or lotions on the area
• Avoid heat treatments such as saunas for up to 2 months as skin is photo-sensitive
• Avoid direct sunlight on the area
• Do not pick scabs or blisters as this will impede healing
• Use an antiseptic cream to avoid any infection on broken skin

I have sensitive skin, will this be a problem?

No, your skin will be able to have the laser treatment but you will probably need a little bit more TLC during your aftercare treatment. Your clinician will get a good idea of your skin type when you have your assessment at the clinic. At the end of each session and your final treatment, you will get all the advice you need to get the best out the laser treatment.

Is it expensive

How does laser tattoo removal work?
